About TRUE Standard

Every system should begin by seeing the student.

TRUE Standard exists to build support structures that work with students, strengthen educators, and turn challenges into opportunities for development.

Mission

Foster support systems that help everyone thrive beyond their challenges, using the TRUE Method.

Vision

A world where every school, family, and individual has the belief and the tools to overcome challenges and grow into their full potential.

Goal

Bring the TRUE Method into schools with measurable improvement in student support, staff practice, and educational outcomes.

Where it began

Built from doing the work, not observing it from a distance.

TRUE Standard began when Rabbi Yisroel Stiefel, working directly as a classroom aide, saw that students were often surrounded by caring adults but still lacked a consistent process for working through challenges.

He began developing the role around connection, careful observation, practical tools, and student ownership. What started as one teenager helping one child grew into the TRUE Method, a multi-stage training program, a school support system, and a defined professional pathway.

What we believe

Students thrive when they feel seen, understood, and capable.

Support works best inside the real environment where growth is needed.

Challenges should be worked through, not simply avoided.

A student should understand why a tool works, not merely comply with it.

The ultimate purpose of support is greater independence.

Young adults can become powerful educational mentors when they are properly developed and supervised.

How the structure works

Board-Owned means development, not just implementation.

The Board of Educational Systems & Certification owns, develops, and operates the TRUE Method. TRUE Standard conducts research in schools, develops field practice, and works with the Board in the continuing development of the method and the systems built around it.

This is why TRUE Standard is defined as a Board-Owned Framework of the Board of Educational Systems & Certification. An authorized framework implements a Board system. A Board-Owned Framework also participates in developing it.
